On Friday 26th April the Year 5 children graduated from the D.A.R.E programme. The children created their own scripts and roleplays which they performed to the D.A.R.E Officers and the Year 4 children. The graduation included details the children have learnt such as: facts about tobacco, cannabis and alcohol; knife crime and the risks associated with carrying a knife; effective communication; and resistance strategies.
Each class had a competition for the best cyber bullying poster. Congratulations to Baily (Class 11) and Holly (Class 12) who won the competition and earnt themselves a D.A.R.E water bottle!
Miss Groves and Mrs Cassidy
In preparation for our trip to Ambleside, we are required to provide the YHA with food orders for the week. We would appreciate it, if you could help your child to make their choices by ticking their main and dessert option on the sheet, which was sent home on Monday. (Please note that these selections will be taken with us and therefore the children will not be able to change their chosen meal.)
We are required to notify the YHA of the food orders as soon as possible so please return your dinner choices by Friday 3rd May 2019.
Mrs Hickling and Miss Richardson

Mrs Lane and Ms. V. Grinnell
Over the Easter Holidays we have been trying out a variety of different sports.
At the start of a very busy week we tried our hand at Tennis.
Just like British No 1 Tennis stars ‘Kyle Edmund’ and ‘Heather Watson’. Here are two of our own up and coming future stars.
Practicing our football skills in preparation for our World cup tournament in the afternoon.
Team Kings Vs Team Dragons (4-2).
The next few sporting events were something many of our children have never tried
New Age Kurling.
The finale to a very energetic week was ‘The Grand Moose Sports Day’.
51 jumps in 30seconds. Could you beat that score ?.
Just like in our Milford values , Her determination and perseverance shone through in the end.
We could not end our week without an ‘Egg and Spoon race’
This was a close race.
Well done to all the children who took part in our sports week everyone received certificates and prizes and showed great sportsmanship.
