At The Milford Academy we offer a curriculum that is broad and balanced and appropriate to the pupils’ ages, abilities and aptitudes regardless of gender, ethnicity and specific needs. Our wider curriculum is taught by using a two-year rolling programme. Below is outlined the topics we cover and how they fit our curriculum areas. This year we are working from Programme B.

Where possible, our topics are integrated through English and Maths. At the beginning of each topic, the teacher will elicit the current knowledge of the children and this will then be used at the end of the topic to show progression.
Some areas of the curriculum are further developed through our after school clubs.
Our curriculum includes activities that are provided for the children to enrich their experiences and promote personal growth and development. At The Milford Academy we want the children to grow into positive, conscientious people who can take responsibility for developing their knowledge and skills to achieve their true and full potential. We provide an educational curriculum that is well-structured, positive and academically challenging for all pupils.
