At The Milford Academy we offer a curriculum that is broad and balanced and appropriate to the pupils’ ages, abilities and aptitudes regardless of gender, ethnicity and specific needs. Our wider curriculum is taught by using a two-year rolling programme. Our Milford Values are embedded in our creative curriculum and discussed regularly with the children. Our Milford values are:

We adopt a cross-curricular approach that develops children’s knowledge, skills and understanding whilst keeping them motivated. Our topics are linked to our English, Art, ICT, D&T and Music where possible. At the beginning of each topic, the teacher will elicit the current knowledge of the children and this will then be used at the end of the topic to show progression.
Some areas of the curriculum are further developed through our after school clubs.
Our curriculum includes activities that are provided for the children to enrich their experiences and promote personal growth and development. At The Milford Academy we want the children to grow into positive, conscientious people who can take responsibility for developing their knowledge and skills to achieve their true and full potential. We provide an educational curriculum that is well-structured, positive and academically challenging for all pupils.
