Nottingham Trent University Art Partnership Project

Year 3 pupils began working with students at  NTU in the Autumn term during their Ancient Egypt topic.

They developed 3D modelling skills and worked with specialist glazes to create canopic jars. Pupils at Milford Academy benefited from the support of Art specialist students, clay resources and glazes and the opportunity to have their clay work fired in the kiln at the university.

Thank you to everyone involved in the project.

A special thanks to Liz Ruston at NTU for organising this partnership.

Cricket All Stars!

This half term we are enjoying taking part in the ‘Chance to Shine’ Cricket Programme.

Every Thursday afternoon the children take part in specialist cricket lessons delivered by a cricket coach from Trent Bridge.

We are learning so many new skills!

Dear parents and carers,

Please ensure that your child is in school for 8:50am tomorrow (the usual time) so that we can quickly register each class and then be on our way. This will enable us to leave school promptly and make the most of our experience at The Galleries.

Remember that unless your child has ordered a sandwich bag, they will be required to bring their own packed lunch. Also, as earlier advised via text, we will be back to school a little later than normal, roughly around 3:30pm.

Many thanks

Mrs Hickling and Miss Richardson
