Anti-Bullying Week and Children in Need

As part of Anti-Bullying week children wore odd socks to school to show their support for this themed week. There has also been assemblies, lessons and discussions around this topic during the week too.

Wearing our odd socks.

On Friday, it is Children in Need day. To raise awareness for this cause, we are having an after-school cake sale on Thursday (which will take place in the infant hall) and a non-uniform day on Friday. Children are asked to bring in donations towards this cause and all money raised will go towards this charity.

The children have been bringing in copper coins to fill Pudsey and raise money. Well done Year 2 managing to fill Pudsey already!

Anti-Bullying Week and Children in Need

Dear parents and carers,

As part of Anti-Bullying week, tomorrow (Tuesday 12th November), children can wear odd socks to school to show their support for this themed week. There will also be assemblies, lessons and discussions around this topic during the week too.

On Friday, it is Children in Need day. To raise awareness for this cause, we are having an after-school cake sale on Thursday (which will take place in the infant hall) and a non-uniform day on Friday. Children are asked to bring in donations towards this cause and all money raised will go towards this charity.

Many thanks,

Mrs Hickling

Reading Themed Stay and Play Day

A big thank you to all parents who joined us on Thursday for the launch of our Rainbow Reading in Nursery.

All the activities on offer were linked in some way to a book or story.

Building houses for the Three Little Pigs
Counting Purple Prickles on the Gruffalo’s back

Puppets and Pop-Ups for Goldilocks and the Three Bears

If anyone could not make it on Thursday and wants to find out more about the Rainbow Reading with their Nursery Child, please see a member of staff who can help you.

Mrs Simons

Rainbow Reading

Rainbow Reading has been launched. There are many exciting books and authors on the Year 3 list.

Soon, the Rainbow Reading shelves will be full with the new books but until then, we’re discussing the wonderful titles and authors!

We will record Rainbow Reading titles once the books arrive!

Thank you for your support,

Mrs Haslam and Miss Marshall

SCHOOL SANDWICH BAGS

Unfortunately school will no longer be providing sandwich bags for KS2 children (unless they are on a school trip). This is with immediate effect.  If your child is in KS2 they can choose a hot meal option or bring in a packed lunch from home.
