On Thursday morning, in the heat of the autumnal sun, Class 11 took part in their gardening session.
We helped Joy maintain the plants in the areas outside our classroom. We were given different responsibilities such as: fetching top soil, weeding, cutting the lavender bushes back and watering the plants.
Mrs Rowe had a great idea! We collected all of the lavender and have brought it into our classroom ready to use it in a Design and Technology activity.
Here’s what the children have to say.
Jayda – “I enjoyed the gardening and it has helped me learn about planting and looking after the garden.”
Reece – ” It was great, I did a really good job and kept getting praised for my work.”
Children and staff keep complimenting us of the smell of our room!
