Class 9 and 10 Information

Welcome to Class 9 and Class 10

The Year 4 team includes the Class 9 teacher Mrs Haslam and the Class 10 teacher Mrs Cassidy. Also, supporting in Year 4 are Miss Sanderson, Mrs Baker, Mrs Vaughan, Ms Grinnell and the sports coaches. We work closely together to make Year 4 a positive, fun experience where children work hard and achieve!

Homework

  • Reading diaries – activities will be set on a Tuesday and stuck into the children’s diary. They can complete these tasks over the week and need to complete them by the following Tuesday.
  • Spelling – there will be a spelling sheet and word-search sent home (this is optional). The same list of words will also be written on the bottom of the guided reading task list. Children will be tested on these words each week.
  • Maths – there will not be any math’s homework set however the children are expected to know all of their times tables by the end of the year. Please practice these at home. This is a fun interactive game to help the children learn their times tables: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button

P.E.

Year 4 will have P.E. on Thursdays and Fridays. Everyone needs their kit in school: blue shorts, white T-shirt, trainers, no jewellery.

Snack

We will provide a small snack every day. This snack helps children concentrate throughout the morning. A contribution of £1.00 per half term pays for this snack. Thank you.

Communication

Please check the website for news updates. Please let us know of any concerns in person or through written messages.
