In Nursery, we have been thinking about why some people celebrate pancake day. The children decided they wanted to make their own pancakes.
We worked in groups to make the batter. We did this by mixing flour, eggs and milk.
When the batter was nice and smooth, Mrs Smith poured it into the frying pan and cooked the pancakes.
Cheeky faces watching their pancakes cook!
Once they were ready, we chose what toppings we wanted on our pancakes and dug straight in! They were yummy!
Happy Pancake Day everyone!
Some of the Nursery children were able to see Geoffrey Jumper and his partner Mandy perform at Clifton Library.
He sung lots of songs and made us laugh, whilst teaching us all about water!
We had a go at making our own shadow puppets and put them on the screen for the other children to see.
Dear parents and carers,
Just to remind you, it is the Upper Key Stage 2 Shakespeare day this Thursday (2nd March 2017). On this day, the children across year 5 and 6 will be reading a range of Shakespeare plays and learning about these through various drama, art and English activities.
The children do not need to dress up for this day, however if they wish to it would be great to see them take on the Tudor period style of dress. The teachers are dressing up so look out for us on the playground on Thursday morning!
Well done Class 11 you had 100% attendance this week. AMAZING!
Well done Class 2 you had 100% attendance this week. AMAZING!
