We have something new and exciting that we can’t wait to share with you!
We are currently trialling an online journal that allows us to share photos and observations of your child at Nursery with you. We know that many children, after a busy session at Nursery, when asked what they have been doing give the response ‘nothing’ or ‘I don’t know.’ This program gives you the chance to see different things that your child has been doing and the achievements they have made, which you can then talk about further at home and share with family.
The program is also 2 ways and gives you the opportunity to take photos of your child when they have done something exciting at home, such as doing some baking or getting their next swimming badge, and posting them to the journal for us to see.
If you would like to find out more information about this new exciting opportunity, we will be holding another meeting to show you how to use the journal on:
- Friday 27th January @ 2.15pm in the MOOSE room (enter the school by the office)
At this meeting you will be given your unique password that allows you to log on to the program. The program is password protected and only you will be able to see your child’s journal. Please note we are not able to give out pass codes unless you have attended a meeting.
I look forward to seeing you there,
Well done Class 11. You had the best attendance in school this week.
Today we put on our old clothes and had a messy mark making day outside. We had so much fun making marks on different surfaces using different pieces of equipment. We got very messy but we loved it!
It helped us to build up our strength in our fingers, arms and bodies to support us with our handwriting. It also allowed us to express ourselves in different ways and experiment with different materials.
Here are a few photos of the fun we had!
Writing our names on the windows using finger paint
Using spray bottles and paint to make patterns. Look at the concentration!
We’re really pleased the children are enjoying the new reading diary formats – we are enjoying reading all of their tasks!
Thank you for all the support you have been giving your children in completing their tasks. We hope that this is making the reading experience more enjoyable for you and your child.
If you have any questions or feedback about the new reading diary format, please come and speak to me.
In Class 10 we have each created our own rainforest creature. We have looked at the different animals which currently live in the rainforest and taken inspiration from them. We have had to think about where our creature would live; What climate they would thrive in; What they would look like and who their predators and prey would be.
