It has been another wonderful week in Class12. We have delved deeper into out topic work by looking at where the Vikings came from and at what point in history they came to Britain. We have continue our work on place value and have spent some time looking at negative numbers and discussed that, unfortunately, in a few months we may be looking at these numbers on a thermometer. We made the most of the warm weather and went out to look out our grounds and the changing of the season and even took part in some weeding and seed collection.
We will be collecting Harvest gifts from Monday, 10 October to Thursday, 13 October to be shared between Clifton Foodbank and Emmanuel House.
An encouraging start to the football season with a 9 – 2 Home win v Crossdale Drive from Keyworth. Hopefully the team will do Milford proud this year.
Yesterday, Year 1 went on a trip to Sudbury Hall – the museum of childhood. We had a fantastic day looking around the assortment of old and new toys. It was very interesting!
We learnt lots of exciting new things. We even now know why a teddy bear is called a teddy bear!
I was so proud of the children and their fantastic behaviour. The volunteers at the museum said we were brilliant.
I look forward to seeing the work the children produce after their fabulous experience.
Dear parents and carers,
I am so pleased to share with you that Class 11 continue to receive praise and rewards for demonstrating their fantastic behaviour and attitude. Class 11 have demonstrated that they meet the school values by listening intently and sitting quietly during the daily assembly. I am so proud of each one of my class and you should be too.
Let’s keep up this fantastic attitude to learning and school life!
