Wollaton Park Visit

The Reception classes had a great time on Thursday at Wollaton Park and would like to thank all the adults who came with us and made it possible.

We learned a lot about trees with Mr Hammond and found all sorts of leaves and seeds on the floor. We even found a nut the squirrels had missed. One squirrel came to see what we were doing!

We enjoyed measuring the trees by counting how many children could hold hands around the trunk. One oak tree was so big it needed 9 children.

We enjoyed our picnic in the sunshine as the weather was fantastic.

We also had time to play games after going on a colour hunt in the woods and doing some bark rubbings.

Milford Mouse came along too!

Everyone was very tired afterwards and some of us went to sleep on the bus coming back to school!

A great start to the term

I would like to thank Class 9 for their great start to the summer term. They have returned to school with positive attitudes and are putting extremely hard effort into their work already. Well done Class 9, I think this is going to be a good term.

Also, just a quick reminder to parents to return milk letters to school for those children that are wanting milk this term.

Healthy Eating Holidays

Over the Easter Holiday we have enjoyed creating healthy meals and snacks with delicious fresh ingredients. We used: tomatoes, peppers, onions, carrots and fresh herbs. Yum yum!

Can you spot the fresh herb that went into our lovely sauce?

We all enjoyed helping in the preparation of our evening meal but the best part was tasting the end product: homemade pasta sauce and homemade meatballs.
