Stay and Play Day Success

We would like to thank everyone who supported our Easter Stay and Play Day on Thursday.

The children love it when their families come to share their school day and the comments from parents and grandparents tell us you love it too!

“I really enjoy the stay and play days. It’s nice to see how my child plays and how happy she is at school. I couldn’t be happier.”

“We have LOVED today’s Stay and Play! There have been so many different activities and the performance at the start was a real treat too. Thank you.”

“The stay and play morning was very fun, messy and colourful. We all had such a good time that we didn’t want to leave.”

“I think this has been the best stay and play session I have ever been to. It was well organised with lots and lots of activities to do. Thank you very much. I will definitely look forward to the next one. I particularly liked the Easter bonnet parade and the children singing. Thank you.”

Here are some of the children enjoying some of the activities:

ICT Afternoon

Class 9 were lucky enough to have an ICT lesson with a very special visitor, Mr Andrews.

They used ipads to go on exciting apps and learn all about the Tudors, specifically the Spanish Amarda.

Class 9 enjoyed the day and said that they were ”able to remember facts more because of the activities on the ipads” and ”playing the games helped process ideas”.

Thank you Mr Andrews for an exciting afternoon! We will be doing similar lessons with our own ipads.

Well Done

What a successful week we have had!

  • We started the week with a certificate for “Perfect Punctuality“.
  • We now know how to use: brackets, dashes, colons and semi colons.
  • Three children from Class 11 have sent Milford Mouse photos in to school ready for Tuesday’s Celebration Assembly.
  • Well done to the Year 5 children for persevering with some tricky Maths work.
